After a remarkable success with the general public, theAdapei 45* with its exhibition “Competent Otherwise“is visiting companies in the Loiret region to change perceptions of disability by organizing a tour of its partner companies: Groups PartnaireBayer, the BRGM et Agefiph Centre-Val de Loire.
The launch of this tour, a symbol of the business world's social commitment, took place at the opening event at our headquarters, Groupe Partnaire, in Olivet, on Thursday, November 6 at 18 p.m., on the occasion of the European Week for the Employment of People with Disabilities (SEEPH).
The photographs on display
These works, captured by the camera of Florine Gomez-Pedraja, communications officer and amateur photographer of Adapei 45, highlight the know-how, skills and pride of the workers supported in the ESATs (Establishments and Services for Support through Work) of Adapei 45. The 34 black and white photos invite us to discover the richness and diversity of the jobs they perform as well as their commitment, their professionalism and their humanity.
A transmission of values and emotions
For the occasion, the Group Partnaire invited its employees, clients, and partners to share a new perspective on disability, challenge preconceived notions, and open a dialogue about the place of each individual in the workplace. Because, despite progress made in professional inclusion, the integration of people with intellectual disabilities remains a challenge. In particular, the young workers from the ADAPEI's ESAT (sheltered workshop) prepared and served the cocktails.
« This exhibition resonates with me deeply because it reminds us that everyone has talents to offer and a place to take in the world of work. But it also underscores our responsibility as a company: to provide the tools to better understand intellectual disability, to dispel misconceptions, and to break free from the unknown. It is indeed through knowledge that we open ourselves to real opportunities. “– Aurélie GOBINET, Chair of the Group’s Executive Board Partnaire and Co-founder of the Foundation Partnaire.
This event was not only aimed at raising awareness, it was also a call to action for employers.
