Members of the Board of Directors of the Corporate Foundation Partnaire participated in the inauguration of a Snoezelen multi-sensory trolley in the pediatric surgery department of the Orléans University Hospital. This equipment is designed to bring comfort and well-being to young patients.
This mobile cart stimulates the five senses of bedridden children through music, vibrations, light effects, scents, and a variety of textures. It creates a soothing atmosphere that encourages relaxation and letting go.
A co-funded project for the well-being of children
This project was made possible thanks to the support of the Foundation Partnaire, via the hospital's “Synchrony” endowment fund, and patrons of the Badaboum association (Cécile Optique, SAREPS France and the Rotary Club Reflets de Loire).
“Synchrony” raises private funds to finance projects carried out by hospital staff at the Orléans University Hospital and the Loiret GHT, in order to improve patient care.
Meeting the specific needs of hospitalized children
This trolley complements the existing Snoezelen room at the Orléans University Hospital. Its mobile nature allows for sensory therapy for children who cannot leave their rooms.
The Snoezelen method: a gentle sensory approach
Originating in the Netherlands, the Snoezelen method stimulates the primary senses (sight, smell, touch, hearing, taste) to provide soothing sensory experiences. More than a method, it's a comprehensive approach to supporting and caring for others.
